Bio:
Roberto Valenzuela is a photographer based in Beverly Hills, CA. He has been honored by Canon USA to be one of the few chosen photographers to be part of their prestigious Canon Explorer of Light program.

Roberto believes that it is not talent but deliberate practice that is at the core of skill and achievement. He has traveled to every corner of the world motivating photographers to practice and break down the various elements of photography in order to master them through goal setting, self-training, and constant dedication.

Roberto serves as a chair and judge for some of the largest photographic print competitions in Europe, Mexico, South America, and the most celebrated International photography competitions held in the United States through the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) in Las Vegas, NV.

Roberto Valenzuela teaches private workshops, seminars, and platform classes for the largest photography conventions in the world. He has been an International first place winner three times and has been nominated by his peers as one of the ten most influential photographers and educators in the world. His first book Picture Perfect Practice is currently the #1 best seller in Amazon for the wedding photography book category. His second book Picture Perfect Posing has also joined the ranks of its predecessor as a best seller and has changed the way people learn posing around the globe. His latest title, Picture Perfect Lighting is also ranked the #1 top selling book in the world for lighting books. His new books are titled Wedding Storyteller Vol. 1 and Wedding Storyteller Vol. 2 made history by becoming the highest selling books on wedding photography of all time worldwide. Roberto’s books have been translated into Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Indonesian, and German, just to name a few and are sold in bookstores worldwide.

Aside from the world of photography, Roberto enjoys piloting high performance remote control helicopters. He is a (not so good anymore) classical guitarist, and a table tennis fanatic always in the lookout for a good challenge.

 ROTATION TOPICS
Boudoir / Beauty Lighting with LED Lights and Natural Light.

ROTATION DESCRIPTION
There is a very unique skill set that is required when photographing boudoir. Unlike other genres of photography, boudoir requires your client to be completely vulnerable. The skill to convert a client’s vulnerability, self-consciousness, and nerves into, beautiful confidence, power, and fun, is hands down one of the best personal and communication skills any photographer can acquire. Furthermore, lighting and posing for boudoir requires much more precision and control because bare skin doesn’t help you hide much.
In this rotation, Boudoir extraordinaire and Nikon Ambassador Jen Rozenbaum will teach you how to best prepare for the shoot, posing, lighting with constant light only, creativity in small spaces, wardrobe, how to communicate with your client so that they feel full of confidence.
